These documents , shared by the Sherman Library and Gardens show a transition of the Sherman Company land to new private ownership and the entities involved.
The 1938 letter discusses the Mack Sennett Ranch and the behind the scenes involvement for development of a TV station. It also references the ownership of the parcel ( Chandlers) and the control through the easement road that the Sherman Company retained over the land within their open space. The 1940 letter shares the progress of the beginning of the new television age with the development of Mt. Lee on the former Sennett site.
