The Theodore Payne historic wildflower re-creation will begin after our first soaking rain. Genevieve Arnold, Seed Program Manager, from the Payne Foundation will have a seed list and packets available in mid January. These seeds will duplicate the original 1923-1925 plantings commissioned by Hollywoodland’s project manager and developer H. S. Woodruff. We hope to have some key ridge line lots sown, the hill adjacent to the Beachwood parking lot and the fountain planter in the village plaza. We will also be working with Jennifer at My Fair Lady’s Flowers. She has offered to create wildflower baskets to adorn the village.
If you are interested in participating or underwriting some of the plantings please contact us.
